Announcement of the new Head of School for the 2023-2024 school year

Head of School, 2023-2024 School Year

Logos Classical Academy’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of a new Head of School, Mr. Jarred Pike, who will assume leadership responsibilities beginning Fall 2023. Current Head of School John Howard, who has served in that capacity since LCA’s formation in 2020, plans to retire this summer.

Mr. Pike has extensive experience in classical Christian education, having served as a Rhetoric School teacher for the past nine years. He comes to LCA by way of Evangel Classical Christian School, located in Birmingham, Alabama. While there he developed the school’s Bible curriculum for grades 9-12 and served as Bible Department Head.

Mr. Pike holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Montevallo, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Covenant College, and a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The LCA Board of Directors believes Mr. Pike is particularly well suited to lead the school in its future development. He is clearly committed to LCA’s mission to glorify God, and work in partnership with families to equip their children with a Christ-centered, academically excellent, classical education focused on instilling knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. The board also believes the Lord clearly and graciously worked to bring Mr. Pike to LCA.

Mr. Pike and his wife, Brittany, have been married for over 15 years and have three school-age children. LCA welcomes Mr. Pike and looks forward to the Godly impact he will have on our student body, faculty, and staff.
