We want to ensure that a healthy partnership will exist between families and the school.
As a classical Christian academy, we develop Christian leaders who possess the qualities of a deep and reasoned faith, a heartfelt moral compass, a strong command of language, who are well-read, well-rounded, and appreciate beauty. These qualities, we believe, will help them transform the church, the community, and the world.
The mission of LCA is to glorify God by working in partnership with Christian families to equip their children with a Christ-centered, academically excellent, classical education focused on instilling knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
The academics at Logos Classical Academy certainly prepare students for university studies and professional vocations, but Logos is not a college-prep school. Logos seeks to graduate students whose lives are characterized by wisdom, virtue, a love of learning, a desire to serve others, and faithful obedience to God. We will definitely prepare your child for college, but our driving goals are eternal.
Are you in agreement with these goals?
One of Logos Classical Academy's strengths is academic excellence. Our curriculum goals are relatively challenging and demand diligence, discipline, and hard work from every student.
We do not expect children to work excessively. Many students at Logos participate in extracurricular activities and sports, but they learn to prioritize their time and energies. Logos has elevated academics that demand hard work and sturdy kids.
Are you ready to help build that strength in your child?
We believe that biblical discipline, the encouragement of an obedient child and the correction of a disobedient child, is a necessary part of education - at home and at school.
Logos is a school with high standards. We do not assume perfection, but we do expect students to obey their teachers and we expect parental support when a misbehaving student must be corrected.
Do you share these expectations for your child's behavior?
We are passionate about learning and books, and we seek like-minded families who share that love. Through books—especially The Book—and countless others, we pursue knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. At Logos, we encourage families to cultivate a book-centered life for their children, prioritizing pages over screens, and instilling in them a discernment for what is good, true, and beautiful.
